Three Bibb County, Georgia sheriff’s deputies were arrested on August 10, 2026 after an internal audit flagged queries they ran on the department’s Flock automated license-plate reader system for personal, non-law-enforcement reasons. Investigators said each deputy used the system to track the location of someone with whom they had a personal relationship, and it was unclear whether those being tracked knew about it. All three deputies resigned and face charges including stalking, violation of oath by a public officer, and prohibited use of license-plate data.
